High Water in Grand River Watershed
Grand River Conservation Authority cautions river users that the heavy rain has created high flows in the watershed.
Storms overnight brought up to 100- mm of rain to the region.
The resulting runoff to the watercourses means especially high water levels downstream of urban area.
Recreation river users like anglers and canoeists should beware.
Some low-lying areas could be flooded.
Parents are reminded to keep children away from slippery river banks, and fast moving water.
Flows are expected to remain above normal throughout the week.
