A new performance stage is starting to take shape in Goderich’s Courthouse Park.

A Chatham based company is doing the work.  Westhoek Construction started erecting steel beams this morning.  Supervisor Darren Maw says that should be finished by late tomorrow afternoon.  Maw adds this is not an off the shelf project and required a lot of custom work.

He adds there is a lot of flexibility built into the design that will allow the performance stage to withstand severe temperature changes as well as a strong wind.
