7 Perth County Residents Arrested After Search Warrant

Seven Perth County residents face a wide-range of charges after police executed a search warrant on Trafalgar street in Mitchell.

Perth County OPP say on Thursday evening they searched the residence and seized around 10-thousand dollars in stolen good, 20-thousand dollars in suspected drugs, including marijuana, cannabis resin, methamphetamine, cocaine and hydrophone. And seized another 2-thousand dollars in Canadian currency and drug related paraphernalia.

All seven individuals, ranging in ages from 22-50 years old, face the following charge, “possession of property obtained by crime” contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).

They also face the following charges under schedules of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA); “possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine”, “possession of a controlled substance, cocaine”, “possession of a controlled substance, hydromorphone”, “possession of a controlled substance, cannabis resin”, and “possession of a controlled substance, cannabis marihuana”.

Three other individuals face additional charges.

All seven are due in court next month to answer to the charges.
