Glammis Native Seeks Federal Huron Bruce Liberal Nomination

Glammis native Allan Thompson is seeking the federal Liberal nomination for Huron-Bruce in the 2015 federal election.
The 50-year-old Thompson was born and raised on a farm just outside the village of Glammis.
He went to school at Bruce Township Central Public in Underwood and Walkerton District Secondary School and began his journalism career as a reporter with the Kincardine Independent and Teeswater News.
His has also been a journalism professor at Ottawa’s Carleton University and a former political reporter for the Toronto Star.
Thompson says he’s committed to building the rural economy in Huron-Bruce and becoming a strong voice for farmers, as well as those who live in the riding’s small towns and surrounding areas.
Over the years Thompson has remained very engaged with the community in Huron-Bruce through his extensive family ties and involvement with a number of local organizations.
