Victim Of Fatal Georgian Bluffs Fire Identified

Police have identified the man killed in a house fire in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Grey County Ontario Provincial Police say the body of 43-year-old Christopher Andrew Johnson of Georgian Bluffs was discovered in the home on Sideroad 115, after it caught fire early Wednesday morning. The cause of death has been deemed to be carbon monoxide poisoning secondary to smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
A 33-year-old woman, two boys aged 5 and 11, and a 7-year-old girl were also in the home at the time of the fire, but managed to escape the house. The woman and two boys were taken to hospital for treatment and later released. The girl was air lifted to a Toronto hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Police say the cause of the fire has not yet be determined but it does not appear to be suspicious.
Police along with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office are continuing with the investigation.
