KW Real Estate Sales Pick Up For June

Home sales jumped nearly 9 per cent in Kitchener Waterloo compared to June of last year.
Members of The Kitchener-Waterloo association of Realtors sold 714 units last month, which is the busiest June since 2009.
 During the first half of this year, almost 34-hundred residential units changed hands.
That down 3.2 per cent compared ot last year, but in line with the 10 year average.
The average residential  sale price is 6.8 per cent higher than last year, at about 349-thousand dollars.
“The housing market in Kitchener-Waterloo and area continues to perform well,” says Lynn Bebenek President of the KWAR. “Home buying activity in the region is supported by low mortgage interest rates and the confidence consumers have in Waterloo region as a great place to put down roots.”
