Speedy Perth County Drivers Face Racing Charges
Two drivers are walking this week after failing to observe the speed limit on the weekend in Perth County.
Just before midnight Friday a Perth County OPP officer clocked a vehicle westbound on Perth Line 32, West of Stratford 136 km/h – 56 km/h above the posted 80 km/h zone.
The 18-year-old Stratford driver was issued a summons for ‘race a motor vehicle’, his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for a week.
Just after 10 Saturday night, a vehicle on Perth Line 20 south of Sebringville was caught on radar at 152 km/h in an 80 zone.
That driver, a 37-year-old Kitchener man, was also issued a summons for ‘race a motor vehicle.’
His driver’s licence was suspended for a week and his car is impounded for a week.
