Owen Sound Man Facing Child Pornography Charges

An investigation dating back to August, 2013 has resulted in a long list of charges against an Owen Sound man.

It began last August when Saugeen Shores Police got a call to attend the Port Elgin flea market regarding a male who had been using his cell phone to capture close-up photos of young girl’s buttocks and genital area.

Police attended the beach area and located a male who matched the description given by the complainant and saw that he was holding his cell phone at waist height while following two young females.

The male was immediately arrested for voyeurism and his cell phone was seized as evidence.

The Saugeen Shores police have continued to investigate the incident and have seized many computers, cell phones and other electronic devices.

With the assistance of the Guelph Police Service Tech Crimes the seized property was forensically examined and all files, including deleted files, were retrieved.
