Progress For Goderich CPR Station Restaurant
The Goderich developer who’s converting the former CPR station into a restaurant in front of the Goderich beach says they are making steady progress.
Herb Marshall says the basement plumbing is roughed-in, the cement floor is poured, and all of the services are running into the station.
Marshall adds it’s pretty well stripped down to its original framing and it’s much larger than expected.
“We’ve had to look to replace the roof on the baggage area because it just wouldn’t carry the proper load for snow load. And as soon as we get the roof reshingled, we’ll be able to start the frame along with heating and ventilation services,” he says.
Marshall is still optimistic that the restaurant may be open, in some form, by the Labour Day Weekend.
