Huron OPP Torch Run for Special OlympicsJune 11, 2014 5:48am
Rain or shine, the Huron County leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics goes this morning.
It starts at 9am at the Wingham OPP detachment office.
Participants will be transported to Blyth, Clinton and Goderich to complete a non-competitive run/walk/stroll in each of those communities. A celebration barbecue will be held around noon at McGee Motors on Suncoast Dr. E in Goderich.
The goal of the Law Enforcement Torch Run is to raise money and awareness of the Special Olympics movement in Ontario. Money collected will be used to assist athletes at the 2014 Canada Special Olympics, being held in Vancouver next month.
