West OPP Deal With New Brunswick RCMP Murders

The murder of three Mounties in New Brunswick has shocked people across Canada, including members of the Ontario Provincial Police.

West Region Spokesperson Chrystal Jones says officers know the dangers involved, and are trained to deal with tragic situations. However, Jones says many members still might need a little help to deal with the situation.

OPP West Region spokesperson Chrystal Jones says officers know they put their lives on the line every day, and need to support one another. She says counselling is also available.

The OPP commissioner Vince Hawkes has offered condolences on behalf of the entire force, to all members of the RCMP in the wake of the shooting deaths of three Mounties

Justin Bourque, 24, was taken into custody early this morning, after eluding police since Wednesday night’s shooting.
