One Call in Service in Owen Sound

Owen Sound residents can now use Ontario One Call to locate underground services.

That means people will no longer be able to call Public works for that information, although public works employees will still to the actual on site mapping.

The City owned buried infrastructure includes watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, traffic signal cables, streetlight conductors, fibre optic cable and related services.

The one call system is being set up to increase public safety, and reduce damage to underground utilities including cable, natural gas, and electricity.

Ontario One Call can be contacted at 1-800-400-2255 or www.on1call.com.

The locate service is provided free of charge to the public and contractors.
