Huron Small Business Help For Young Entrepreneurs
The Huron Small Business Enterprise Centre in Seaforth has launched a new program aimed at helping business start-ups and expansions in the county.
Assistant Business Adviser Kim Postma is co-ordinating the Starter Company Program which provides a provincial grant of $5,000 to candidates who are between the ages of 18 and 29, are not in school, or planning to return to school and want help in either starting a new business or expanding or purchasing an existing business.
Postma adds they will also provide mentoring and business planning along with the grant. Postma says information meetings for the program are being held on May 28 and June 12 at the Small Business Centre in Seaforth from 2pm-4pm in the afternoon or 7pm-9pm in the evening. Applicants can also contact Kim Postma at the Small Business Centre.
