Bluewater School Board Finalizing Budget

Bluewater Board of Education trustees believe they can maintain programs as they work to finalize their budget for the year.
Business Committee member Jim Dawson says staff have presented a balanced budget of just under 200-million-dollars for trustees to consider.
Dawson says it’s never a simple process considering funding cuts from the province.
The business committee will consider the budget presented by staff at a special meeting next Monday.
Then it goes to the full board for debate.
By law, the Bluewater Board has to present the province with a balanced budget by the end of June.
