Lots Of Calls Over Long Weekend In Grand Bend

A busy weekend for the OPP in Grand Bend.
There were 350 calls for service over the Victoria Day long weekend, down from 400 in 2013. Police laid a total of 183 charges, 116 of which involved liquor.
Provincially, the OPP responded to two fatalities over the long weekend. One man died in eastern Ontario when the farm tractor he was driving failed to negotiate a turn on a township road. Another man succumbed to his injuries following a single vehicle collision in northeastern Ontario.
