Seniors Funding Available in Region

Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller says local organizations should apply for funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program.
He says the federal grants and contributions program supports projects for seniors who seek to improve the lives of others in their communities.
Organizations are eligible to receive up to 25-thousand dollars.
The project must address one or more of the programs objectives of volunteering, mentoring, elder abuse awareness, social participation and capital assistance.
Non profit, municipal, first nations, health and education groups are encouraged to take advantage of the funding.
