Ausable Bayfield Watershed Flood Outlook
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook and a watershed conditions statement.
Since Monday evening, storm cells have dumped between 25-55 mm of rain on areas north of a line from Grand Bend to Exeter. Ground conditions are now saturated and river and creek levels continue to rise.
Another large storm system is moving across the area from the south over the next 24 hours, and rainfall amounts could exceed another 50 mm.
The conservation authority is warning that localized minor flooding is possible in floodplain areas of the Ausable Bayfield watershed.
