Police Week Busy In Owen Sound

It will be a busy week for the Owen Sound Police Service, and most other police forces across the province as Police Week gets underway.

Tomorrow is the open house and Kid’s Fun Day at the Owen Sound police station, which runs from 11am-2pm. Guided tours of the police station are offered, with officers and volunteers serving hot-dogs and refreshments, if you make a donation to Special Olympics.

Youngsters can also meet the Owen Sound police mascot “Buster”, and take part in the Safety Village display.

Monday, Owen Sound Police Officers will be grocery shopping with members of the Meaford Optimist Club and students from Sydenham Elementary School.

Later in the week, officers from the Owen Sound Police Service will team up with other police services and OPP detachments in Grey and Bruce to conduct R.I.D.E. checks, traffic enforcement and education initiatives.
