ATV Problems Discussed at Huron Kinloss Council

Councillors in Huron-Kinloss have heard plenty about ATV problems in the Lucknow area.

A report to council states that local residents have been subjected to ATV and small motorcycle abuse, almost on a daily basis. The majority of violations take place on residential streets and the old railway trail.

Traffic violations include excessive speeds, three or four abreast on numerous streets, and no lights or mufflers.
The presentation to council also states that many of the operators are not wearing helmets, and some have no licence, registration or insurance.

The report says the machines are endangering the public and disrupting resident’s right to peace and quiet.

The OPP have been asked to investigate.
