North Huron Moves Forward With Medical Marijuana Proposal

A medical marijuana company is one step closer to setting up shop in Wingham.
North Huron council has passed a recommendation to send a letter to Natural Pharm Industry confirming that the proposed production facility would be permitted in an industrial zone in the town.
CAO Gary Long says right now the company is working on all the specifics.
Long adds staff is looking at where other expressions of interest have been filed.
Right now the company is in the process of preparing an application to Health Canada to obtain a license to become a medical marijuana producer.
