Summer Jobs Funding in Huron Bruce
Students in Huron-Bruce will have access to more summer jobs.
Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb has announced that 108 organizations in the two counties will be receiving over $249,000 in Canada Summer Jobs funding. That’s enough to hire 130 students.
The Canada Summer Jobs program is expected to create approximately 35,000 jobs this year, while helping employers address skills shortages. It also helps students gain skills and experience, while earning money for the upcoming school year.
The federal government is also supporting up to 3,000 internships in high-demand fields and up to 1,000 internships in small and medium-sized businesses.
