Meaford Has Help With Cell Tower Issues
Meaford has appointed an independent not-for-profit corporation to represent it in dealing with applications for radio and cell towers.
The Canadian Radiocommunications Information and Notification Service explained to Meaford council that its goal is to inform councils and the public on matters relating to radio communication towers, like the one being proposed for Meaford.
There is no cost to belonging to CRINS. The corporation recovers its costs from applications fees.
Meaford is dealing with a controversial application by Rogers Communications for a cell tower in the town. There has been a lot of public opposition to several proposed locations for the tower.
