Meaford Museum Triples Visitor Numbers
The unusually cold and stormy winter did not keep people away from the Meaford Museum.
The Museum’s coordinator reports the number of visitors to the museum during the first three months of this year shot up to more than triple what it was for the same period of 2013.
Jody Seeley’s stats showed that between January 1st and the end of March, 218 people of all ages visited the Meaford Museum. There were only 63 visitors to the museum during the first quarter of last year.
Popular programs at the museum included Old Photographs Viewing for members of the Meaford Day Away Program; Artifact Detectives; a ‘Koffee House Read’ featuring local historian Gary McEachern; and Pioneer Days during March Break.
