Brockton Councillor Concerned With Internet Voting Security
A Brockton Councillor has concerns over the company being considered to conduct the internet voting for the fall municipal election.
Chris Peabody says computer scientists from MIT and Yale read the agreement Brockton has with Dominion Voting and they were very concerned about several of the provisions. Including, limited liability, no chance to do a recount or audit, and lastly, no ability to allow computer experts to try and hack into the system to see if it is indeed secure.
Before moving forward with the agreement, Council has asked for a Dominion Voting rep to appear before Council to address some of the concerns.
