No Major Flooding Expected Over The Weekend

No major flooding is expected over the weekend.

Both Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and Grand River Conservation Authority say with temperatures slightly above freezing and no significant precipitation, no major flooding is expected.

However, the conservation authorities say localized flooding is possible where flow in smaller watercourses and ditches are impeded by snow or ice.

SVCA says the Saugeen, Pine and Penetangore River watersheds have an above average snow-pack. They add stream-banks are unstable and slippery at this time and the water is cold, so residents are advised to use caution near all watercourses.
