Avon Maitland School Board Unchanged

Trustees with the Avon Maitland District School Board voted against making any changes to the number of trustees on the board or the area they represent.
Director Ted Doherty explains the board looks at their determination and distribution before every municipal election.
Doherty adds an area could be considered low density and that could result in a change of distribution, but he says the areas represented by the nine trustees is fairly consistent, so it was decided not to make any changes at this time.
