Huron County Fire Chiefs have issued a full fire ban for the county.
The fire chiefs have enacted the ban with immediate effect, and there will be no open air burning in Huron County until further notice. Small campfires are permitted from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. only, at which time all fires must be extinguished completely.
The ban has been put in place due to extreme dryness throughout the area and high heat. No burn permits will be issued until the ban is lifted.
