Perth County OPP have laid charges following an investigation into a sexual assault.
On March 13, officers began an investigation into a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred in North Perth. Police say their investigation found that the victim was sexually assaulted on two occasions between June, 2022, and November, 2022. The accused and the victim were known to each other. As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old resident of North Perth has been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
