Scarecrow Invasion in Meaford returns following short pause

Meaford's Scarecrow Invasion is back on.

The event was paused in January due to a lack of volunteers, but Event Chair Donna Earl confirming to CKNX on Monday that they have added enough people to its executive and staff that they now plan to host an event later this year.

"The invasion may be smaller or look a bit different as it transitions to a more environmentally-friendly event" Earl says. "There may be fewer scarecrows to reduce waste going to landfill."

Earl says that as planning progresses, they remain interested in hearing from the public about ideas or input they may have. You can send your ideas to the Scarecrow Invasion and Family festival by contacting scarecrow.invasion1@gmail.com
