Applications are now open to receive funding from the proceeds of the Minto Mayor's Charity Golf Tournament.
This year's tournament will be held on August 10 at Pike Lake Golf Centre Limited outside Mount Forest. Applications for local groups to receive funding from the proceeds of the tournament are now open, and will close on March 13. The committee in charge of funding distribution is looking for applications from non-profit organizations within the Town of Minto that fit into one of three categories: Community Betterment, Service Club or Sports Club.
Over the last 12 years, the Minto Mayor's Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $130,000 to support local groups. 42 groups and clubs have benefitted from funding over the years, including Minto Pride, Aboard Palmerston, Clifford Connects and Harriston Rising.
