A local hospital is now out of a COVID-19 outbreak.
A statement from the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance confirms that the Clinton Public Hospital is now longer in an active COVID-19 outbreak. The outbreak in Clinton was announced on January 31. The inpatient unit has been reopened to admissions and transfers. Family and caregiver presence on the unit has also been restored. The HPHA is reminding all individuals that they are required to wear a mask upon entering any of the HPHA hospital sites and that COVID-19 self-screening must be completed.

“While this outbreak is over, we can’t stress enough the importance of layering up your protection to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses that are circulating in Huron Perth,” said HPHA Manager of Quality, Patient Safety and Infection Control Erica Jensen. “Keep up-to-date with your vaccines/boosters, wear a mask when in indoor public spaces, wash your hands often and stay home if you are feeling sick.”
