Man arrested and charged after passing out in LCBO parking lot

A Thorndale man is accused of passing out in an LCBO parking lot.

Huron County OPP were called on January 10 at 11:30 a.m. to the Kirkton LCBO located on Road 164 after a call of a man asleep behind the wheel of an SUV.

Officers arrived and found a man allegedly asleep behind the wheel of a running Ford Escape. Police suspected the driver was impaired by drugs and he was arrested. Officers searched the SUV and claim they found suspected fentanyl on the driver. Following the arrest, it was discovered the SUV and the license plates were stolen from London.

The 34-year-old from Thorndale is now facing numerous drug related charges and theft charges, as well. The accused was remanded into custody.
