Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers announced that 3.2 million dollars is coming to the region for healthcare improvements.

Byers says that the province is investing $3,205,112 this year to help with critical repairs and upgrades at 4 local healthcare sites. Those include Grey-Bruce Health Services, Hanover and District Hospital, South Bruce Grey Health Centre and South East Grey Community Health Centre. The funding will help make repairs and enhance technology to improve local healthcare in the region.

The province says they are providing 175 million dollars to hospitals through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and over $7.6 million to community health service providers through the Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund.

“These investments in our healthcare infrastructure for maintenance of facilities is so important for the ongoing quality of care. I am very pleased that our Grey Bruce community hospitals and health centre are key players in this funding announcement,” said MPP Byers.
