Police have arrested and charged two people after officers seized illegal drugs and stolen property.

An investigation began a few months ago into potential illegal activity at a property on Concession 4 in Arran Township. On November 15, members of the OPP, the Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Canine and South Bruce OPP executed a search warrant at the property.

Officers seized a large quantity of methamphetamine that police say is worth over $11,000. The value of the stolen property is $89,700. As a result, a 53-year-old and a 48-year-old, both from Arran-Elderslie, are facing a lengthy list of charges including possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and numerous weapons related charges.

Both of the suspects remain in custody. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
