More floats being sought for local Santa Claus Parade

Organizers are looking for more floats for this year's Santa Clause Parade in Clinton.

Kinsman Bill Meyers said he's been organizing the parade for roughly the last twenty years, with a lot of help from fellow Kinsmen and Kinettes and members of the community.

“The last couple of years we've had to do a drive-by parade, which was because of COVID, so this is our first back at it for the moving parade and we've got over twenty floats already registered and we're hoping to get probably around forty-four floats if we can," Meyers said.

Meyers said the parade starts at the race track in Clinton.

“We line everybody up there and then let them go from there, but we usually have room for some stragglers if they haven't registered and the line up starts no later than 6:30. The parade starts at seven so we'd like them there no later than 6:30," Meyers explained.

The parade will be held on December 2, starting at 7 p.m. Anyone looking for more information can call Bill Meyers at 519-440-8808 or email him at sandbmeyers@gmail.com.
