Favourite among Midwestern Ontario MP's will not seek Conservative Leadership

A favourite among some Members of Parliament in Midwestern Ontario has announced that he has decided not to seek the Conservative Party leadership.

Wellington-Halton Hills MP Michael Chong confirming in a tweet this morning that he has decided against throwing his hat into the ring, saying quote-"Now is not the time." Chong received a ringing endorsement from Perth-Wellington MP John Nater, and was on a shortlist of preferred candidates offered up by Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb, though Lobb did note that if Peter MacKay enters the race, he would support him over anyone. Chong says he will remain focused on Canada's Foreign Policy, and thanked everyone that has reached out to him to offer support.

Pierre Poilievre, Leslyn Lewis, Jean Charest and Roman Baber are the four people that have announced their intentions to seek the Conservative Party leadership.
