Break-in at commercial property results in arrest

South Bruce OPP have arrested and charged one person following a break-in at a commercial property.

On January 25th at 4:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter at a commercial property in the 1500 block of Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township. Members of the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and an OPP Canine Unit assisted officers with a search of the area. A 45-year-old Wellington North native was located and arrested without incident. The accused was charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break-In Instruments and Theft over $5,000.

Police also discovered through their investigation that a Black Audi S4 was stolen. The value of the stolen vehicle is estimated to be more than $40,000. There are no license plates on the vehicle, but the serial number is on file with police.
