GBHS to reduce number of visitors to hospitals as COVID cases spike

Grey Bruce Health Services will be reducing visitors to their hospital sites in order to reduce foot traffic in their buildings.

In a release, the GBHS states that as of Thursday, December 23rd, new visitor limits will come into effect. The release says that "two visitors are still permitted for inpatients, but they must be the same two visitors throughout the patient’s hospital stay. For most outpatient appointments, people are asked to come alone unless they require support for accessibility reasons."

The GBHS says these new measures are being put in place to "provide the safest environment possible for patients, families and employees."
