Kincardine honours former mayor following news of their passing

The Municipality of Kincardine is flying their flags at half mast today in honour of former mayor Donna Ada Wilson-Kennedy (née Wilkinson).

Wilson-Kennedy passed away yesterday, November 3rd in her 84th year. She served in municipal politics in a number of roles over the years, first joining Kincardine council in 1971, serving until 1973. She was appointed reeve in 1985 and served in that role until 1987, and then was appointed acting mayor in 1988, a role she filled until 1991. Wilson-Kennedy also served on a number of committees over the years, including the Canada Day Committee, the Kincardine Public Library Committee, the Kincardine and District Community Centre Recreation Board, the Industrial Committee, BNPD Impact Advisory Committee, the Economic Development Committee, Regional Tourist Council of Grey and Bruce and the Parks and Tourism Committee.
