Municipalities in Bruce County get funding for Digital Service Squads

Seven Bruce County municipalities have received funding for Digital Service Squads to help local businesses.

A release from the seven municipalities says a $92,500 grant from Digital Main Street’s Ontario Grants Program will bring a Digital Service Squad to the area which will "provide trained digital specialists to local small businesses to help them adopt online technologies and digitally transform their sales, marketing and back-office operations." The municipalities benefitting from this grant are Huron-Kinloss, Northern Bruce Peninsula, Saugeen Shores, Arran-Elderslie, Kincardine, Brockton and South Bruce.

The Digital Service Squads will be coming to Bruce County in the coming weeks to assist small businesses in boosting their digital and online presence at no cost to the businesses.

"We are thrilled with the return of Digital Main Street and to partner with municipalities throughout Bruce County to offer this program through a regional effort. Businesses that participate will receive excellent support and guidance for their digital marketing and online presence,” says Lauren Eby, Township of Huron-Kinloss Business Development Coordinator.
