Police charge four people following drug trafficking investigation
The OPP have charged four people following a drug trafficking investigation.
On September 14th just after 2 p.m., the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit and the Wellington County CSCU conducted a traffic stop on Snyder’s Road East, Petersburg in Waterloo Region, after a drug trafficking investigation. The four people in the vehicle were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and cannabis resin, as well as cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $9,000.
As a result, a 28-year-old from Listowel, a 54-year-old from Palmerston, a 36-year-old from Wroxeter and a 25-year-old from Kitchener are all facing numerous drug charges, including Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine. The four accused were released from custody and are all scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
