Police investigating rash of vehicle break-in thefts

Huron County OPP are reminding residents to not leave valuables in their vehicles following a string of recent vehicle break-ins in Blyth.

Three recent vehicle break-ins, all believed to have occurred in the early morning hours of August 8th, resulted in smashed windows and stolen goods. On Morris Street thieves smashed a window out of a pickup truck and they stole a wallet that was in the centre console.

On Gypsy Lane the thieves smashed out a pickup truck window and proceeded to steal about $8,000 worth of power tools.

Finally, a locked enclosed trailer was broken into on Dinsley Street and the thieves made off with more tools and electronics. Police believe the suspects were in a light coloured mini-van. If you have any information regarding these thefts, contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
