Supply partners of Bruce Power donate to Huron Shores Hospice

Some of Bruce Power's supply partners have donated to the Huron Shores Hospice.

On May 8th at the Huron Shores Hospice Virtual Hike event, Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck announced that the company’s nuclear supply chain partners had donated $55,000 to the hospice. The donation was put together through Bruce Power's Charitable Events Sponsorship Program, which according to the release "aligns the company’s vendor partners with local, provincial and national non-profit organizations."

The program focuses specifically on organizations that deal with Indigenous youth, health and wellness organizations, Canadian veterans and local Legions, food banks and hospital foundations.

“I am honoured to announce this donation on behalf of the more than 30 members of our supply chain who donated to the Huron Shores Hospice through Bruce Power’s charitable events package,” Rencheck says. “We are fortunate to have supplier partners who share our commitment to the communities in which we live, work and play.”

Cheryl Cottrill, Co-Chair, Huron Shores Hospice, said this donation makes a tremendous contribution to the Hospice’s annual fundraising endeavours.

“We welcome these partners in helping to create a world where end-of-life care receives as much beauty, care and respect as the beginning,” Cottrill says. “We cannot do the work we do without generous donations from our partners, and we thank them for recognizing the importance of quality end-of-life care in our community.”
