Local police force adds new recruits

The Owen Sound Police Service has added two new recruits.

In a release on May 7th, the Owen Sound Police Service says the two new recruits, Constable Miranda Lantz and Cadet-in-Training Julie Wyville will be supporting the force's community safety efforts. Lantz, a Bruce County resident, received her badge in a swearing-in ceremony with Chief Craig Ambrose on May 7th after successfully completing her Basic Constable Training at the Ontario Police College. Wyville, a Grey County resident, will begin her Basic Constable training next week at the Ontario Police College and will return to Owen Sound in July.

In the release, Owen Sound Police Service states the two recruits are excited to begin their work serving the Owen Sound and surrounding community.
