Police lay charges following violent dispute between neighbours

The Huron County OPP have charged a 19-year-old Seaforth resident following a dispute with a neighbour that turned violent.

On May 2nd at 10:26 a.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in Seaforth to investigate a dispute between two neighbours. An investigation determined that the accused and victim exchanged heated words, and things became physical. The accused had a weapon in hand and swung it at the victim causing minor injuries. The accused also allegedly destroyed two windows on the victim's vehicle.

As a result, the 19-year-old Seaforth native faces numerous charges including assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon. The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 4th in Goderich.
