Police investigating following road rage assault

The Perth County OPP is investigating after an assault occurred on Highway 7, in the Township of Perth South last weekend.

On January 16th, just after 6:30 p.m., the Perth County OPP and Perth County Paramedic Service received a report of an assault that had occurred after a "road rage" type incident.

Police say the investigation revealed that two vehicles were travelling northbound towards Stratford, when the suspect vehicle passed the victim dangerously, and then both vehicles came to a stop.

During the incident, police say both drivers exited their vehicles, and the victim was allegedly assaulted. Police say the victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

A female passenger with blond hair was observed in the vehicle. The victim was driving a silver Honda Civic and the suspect was driving an older model silver Nissan Altima or Sentra. The victim and the suspect were not known to each other.

The suspect is described as:

Male, Caucasian

Approximately 40-55 years old

5'8" to 5'11"

Short brown hair, with "5 o'clock shadow" facial hair

Wearing dark leather jacket

Driving older model silver Nissan Altima or Sentra
