A plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Grey County's Eugenia Lake on Sunday.
The two-seater homemade plane was flying from Kitchener to Collingwood when it lost engine power, forcing the lone occupant, a 56-year-old man, to land in the middle of the lake northeast of Flesherton, which has only recently frozen over.
The nose of the plane ended up dug into the snow-covered lake, and broken parts could be seen under the aircraft on Monday afternoon.
The pilot suffered a hand injury, but otherwise was not hurt. He was attended to by nearby residents, some of whom skied out on the lake's ice to help.
