Saugeen Shores Council has appointed a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Kara Van Myall joins the organization from the County of Bruce, where she currently holds the role of Director of Planning and Development.
"Ms. Van Myall is an innovative and experienced leader in local land use planning and community development. Kara's expertise will help us to ensure that Saugeen Shores continues to grow in a way that benefits everyone. I'm pleased she has joined our team as CAO and I look forward to our shared success" says Mayor Luke Charbonneau.
Van Myall holds a Master's Certificate in Public Management from York University's Schulich School of Business and a Certificate in Managing and Leading in a Municipal Environment from Loyalist College. She is also a Registered Landscape Architect and a Professional Planner with over 20 years of public sector experience.

The unique communities within Saugeen Shores offer fascinating opportunities that I am excited to support. The Town of Saugeen Shores is a community that I am very familiar with, not only am I a resident of the community but I have worked closely with the Town over the last 15 years. I'm looking forward to moving into my new role, and to lead the organization during this significant growth period." says newly appointed CAO, Kara Van Myall.
Van Myall will start her new role on December 7, 2020.
