South Bruce Peninsula approves new Corporate Strategic Plan

South Bruce Peninsula Council has approved a new five-year Corporate Strategic Plan.

The council members and staff wanted to establish a new results-based plan to help guide budgeting, decision making and planning. The new strategic plan will provide long-term guidance that will allow the town to strengthen municipal operations, identify key outcomes and allocate resources in an appropriate way.

With the plan in effect for five years, the idea is that the strategy outlined will reflect the goals of the community, municipal staff and the council, while providing a map for the future of South Bruce Peninsula.

“We are excited to have a progressive new strategic plan that sets the framework for advancing our priorities” said Mayor Janice Jackson.

“The strategy was a collaborative effort that included input and validation by staff, stakeholders, and members of the public,” said Economic Development Officer Danielle Edwards.

Vision: A progressive, attractive and welcoming community, standing proud.

Mission: Through responsible leadership, provide sustainable services that are efficient and effective.
