Police lay charges following drug search warrant

The OPP have laid charges following the execution of a drug-related search warrant in Meaford.

On September 17 at 6:05 a.m., Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Units, with assistance from OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence at Victoria Street in Meaford.

Officers seized cocaine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

As a result, police have charged 42-year-old Brandy Forbes of Meaford with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on an undertaking and has a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 22.
